That's not what I said. Neither is your brain.

Let's go back a few years to see why teens smoked tobacco in the first place. Teens are easily influenced by what's "cool". This time period was probably the early 90s. Now over the years, like all other fads, it has faded due to new fads and also excessive anti-tobacco advertising in all forms of media. To put it bluntly, teens no longer smoke tobacco because it isn't "in". The few teens that do actually smoke tobacco today didn't start because of glorifying media and peer influences. Because it no longer exists in mainstream culture.

Now, my point.
What's the new fad, the one that's cooler than smoking regular cigarettes?
What I'm saying is that media now glorifies smoking pot and doing other drugs. Music and TV, it's everywhere just as smoking regular cigarettes was years ago.

Tobacco smoking rates of teens didn't decrease merely because of intervention, it was a fad, and the psychology of the human teenager is what contributed to the decrease.

Yes it's fine and dandy that it's decreasing. Whoopee, now we have other issues to focus on besides tobacco.
