iceman (2014-08-10 17:31:36)Damn. Now we can't laugh at the people who call threads forums because they will know the difference.
carlos11 (2014-08-10 18:28:27)You can't teach an old fag new words.
Language is a tool for efficient communication. The internet is a tool for fast communication. Do not defy both intents by posting incoherent writing.

little5 (2014-08-14 21:37:26)I thought it was "Not Suitable For Work".

I realized that some users don't quite understand some common forum terms used. So I made a list to clarify them.
Forum - This is the 'section' that you are in... Example: Miscellaneous, This Plaza, Poetry, etc..
Sub-forum - This is a smaller 'section' within an actual forum... Example: Feature Suggestions, Real Life Stories, Nintendo DSi, etc..
Thread - This an actual discussion within the forum... Example: The Chat Thread, The WWE Discussion Thread, The Brony Thread, etc..
Bump - This is commenting on a thread that has been 'dead' for 30 days. This is against the rules...
Lock - This is obviously closing your thread so no one else can comment on it anymore...
Sticky - This one of the yellow threads you can find on the top of your forum menu. These are the 'special threads' if you will...
Move - This is an action forum mods only can do. They can move a thread to a whole new forum or subforum.
OP - Original Poster, this is the person who created the thread.
^ (up arrow) - This is commonly used as an arrow. Mainly to reply to someone... Example: "^ I agree" , "^ This" , "^ You're wrong".
+1 - This is used to show that you've given an appreciation to a thread.
I think I got most of the main ones. If you think I missed anything, please feel free to suggest.
