The new one. That's not even opinion, its fact.

The older gens had flat characters, predictable plots, bad dialogue, and we're just your average everyday stereotypical girl show that wasn't trying to accomplish anything but selling toys.

The ner ones on the other hand, are the complete opposite of that, and more.
