I'd hide behind the little narrow space between my bed and wall, holding a bat and wait for him to be facing the other way. If I were to hit him in the head hard enough, he'd be in too much pain to do anything, leaving me enough time to repeatedly ram the bat into his skull, no matter what the difference was in our strength.

If he turned out to be abnormally resistant to pain, I would admit defeat and try to run (and most likely fail because I'm very out of shape).

The scenario must have gone like this;

"Hello burglar!"

Says Heather as she eagerly watches some random stranger with a large knife break in through a window.

"The hell do you want, kid?"

Sais the burglar

"Would you like some t-"

Is all heather is able to say before the burglar stabs her right in the eye.

"Tch... Annoying little brat."

Said the their as he procceded to steal things.

Run into the kitchen, make a peanut butter sandwich and go back to bed with a warm glass of milk, the theif will be so jealous, he'll go home to do the same, forgetting about stealing stuff.
