TREEhugger101 (2014-07-13 18:50:08)Mine:
Protagonist defeats villain. New villain comes back, attacks protagonist for no good reason. Protagonist loses, but gains new power and defeata villain! This then repeats over and over.

@tree
There's also the first half of the final battle where protagonist is losing badly, then the second half where protagonists friends cheer him on and suddenly protagonist beats the crap out of villain because friendship.
carlos11 (2014-07-13 19:13:29)Is anyone else having difficulty calling out any cliche moments in movies?
Ironically, I thought there would be too many to choose from. I was sure I'd have something to say, but I'm just blank.

carlos11 (2014-07-13 20:01:16)Alright, here goes.
When they walk away from an explosion like a badass. Wtf? Who the hell WALKS away from an explosion? No one, that's who.
Then if they're not walking, they just throw themselves on the ground. How the hell does throwing yourself on the ground make you unkillable?
Also, bartenders. They're always sticking a rag in a glass, polishing it thoroughly. And they always know everything about everyone that's ever walked into their bar.
I totally didn't get all of this from Reddit.

ConnorRonnoc (2014-07-13 20:50:03)...You make a lot of threads complaining about stuff, don't you? Well, you are AntiChrist, you won't be happy until everything's on fire and demons are using pitchforks to perform questionable acts on humans.

In every scary movie:
Girl hears a noise and goes to check it out in the beginning of the movie. Something jumps out at her but its actually her boyfriend messing with her. The SECOND time this happens it's actually the monster/ghost/etc.
LephiPyro (2014-07-14 04:11:18)More of a trope, but...

Dimentia (2014-07-14 11:59:47)Video game cliché: What's a restraining order?

"You're the chosen one" cliché. It's a classic....And it's getting REALLY old...

Here my "favorite".
Person 1: *starts to try to talk about something important*
Person 2: *also tries to say something else at the same time*
Person 1: says "you go first" even though what he has to say is extremely important.
Person 2: *talks about something completely unimportant*
Person 1: *its finally his turn, he's about to talk when suddenly....*
BOOM! DISTRACTION!
Person 2: "oh no! A thing happened! Now I must go do a thing!"
*person 2 leaves and person 1 doesn't get to say the important thing.*
Here's another one that leaves me in a puddle of my own piss,
Two guys are talking, person one tries to say something, but person two misunderstands him/her, and interrupts, yelling and getting angry at person 1. Person one tries to explain the misunderstanding, but person 2 won't let him/her finish talking and gets angry. Person 2 storms out, and is angry at person one in order to create an ordeal to advance the plot.
Person 2 AND person 1 end up apologizing to eachother, even though person 1 didn't do CRAP and it was person two starting a whole pissload of drama that could've been easily resolved in two seconds if the movie/show was realistic.
Which ones do you hate the most? What are your favorite examples of these happening?
