Getting attacked by a deaf Pitbull

As you know, I like telling my life stories in 3rd person. But this time, I guess I could use 1st person because if I don't everyone will call me a liar, I guess. :T

It was a hot summer day, and I believe I was around 7 or 8. I'm about 13 now, so I can't really remember. I was outside while the neighbor's dog was outside, running around her yard joyfully. I'd recently learned the dog was deaf, and made hand gestures to get her attention. The dog looked up at me happily, then rushed over to play with me. It wasn't until then that I realized the dog was much bigger than me so I ran into our sandy backyard. I climed into the tree house-like swing set and camped there for about 10 minutes before coming down when the dog ran home. But going in through the front yard was a mistake. The dog came barreling towards me, lunging at me with great force. I quickly dodged but she stood up on her two back paws and slashed across my chest, leaving a large gash across my upper torso. I began to cry, hiding my face in my arms while the dog kept scratching me. My mothet rushed out and got the dog to go back home. Upon the dog's departure, my mum walked me inside where she applied that icky gel that smelled so horrible it felt like it was burning the inside of your nose to prevent my wounds from getting infected.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..

I paced around for hours on empty,
Jumped at the slightest of sounds.
I couldn't stand the person inside me,
I turned all the mirrors around.
