The majority of the user want to be a mod, they think of it as a status position.

About 3/4 of the site would make applications to become a modâ€“including alts. No one wants to look through all these applications. Seeing what you're getting at first hand is better than seeing what someone only wants you to see. Do you really think that people are going to put bad things about themselves on their applications?
