I find while quality of animation went up, the quality of storyline went down, thus making it hard for people to get into the show.

Naruto is one of the worst anime in the face of the earth, along with Sonic X, Axis Power Hetalia, New seasons of Pokemon Anime, Digimon: Data Squad and Dragon Ball GT.
Here are a list of anime that's better Naruto:

Some of us still happen to love the series, even though we agree that it's been dealing with a slow and painful degradation for a long time now. Disliking what it's become and giving criticism where it's due makes one a better fan than the one who ass-kisses it by saying it can do no wrong.
