Dimentia (2014-05-17 02:13:35)One of the rules is the story cannot have any other charatars but your own. Reference are fine.

TREEhugger101 (2014-05-17 18:41:41)Correction:
"There was Bob; he was building his house, and he needed sand, but his shovel was broken."
This sentence still doesn't flow properly.
Try:
"There Bob stood; building his house- of which he needed sand for, but, unfortunately, his shovel was broken."

Long ago, in the magical land of Minecraftia...
There was Bob. He was building his house. And he needed sand. But his shovel was broken.
A young sorcerer told Bob that if he went to the top of the mountain, using his broken shovel, he would recive a diamond shovel that would never break. Bob didn't want to take him seriously, but hey, it was a sorcerer. And who would joke about diamond?
So he walked to the mountain, with the broken shovel. Attempt 1: Bob falls. Attempt 2: Bob falls. Attempt 3: Bob breaks his leg. Attempt 4: Bob breaks his other leg.
Bob, for months, attempted to climb the mountain, without acually using the shovel. Then he tried something new.
He took the shovel blade and attatched a rope to it. Then, he threw it over a rock. It gripped onto the rock. Bob then climbed the rope. Then, he repeated his actions.
He was at the point when his location was higher than Mount Everest. Snow was pounding, and Bob barely managed to get leather armor made. At least it was warm, Bob thought.
By the time Bob was almost to the summit, warmth was non-existant. The snow was pounding harder, and Bob was nearly buried. "You should be able t-t-to f-f-find t-t-tons of C-C-Cubchoos h-h-here..." he whispers faintly.
Finally, Bob's entire body is numb. He can't feel a thing. Using his broken shovel, he manages to keep moving. Everything is either covered with snow or frozen.
Bob is inches away from the summit when temperatures hit -953 °F. He thinks he has failed. His body temperature is under -1000 °F. He feels frozen. The warmest it can get up there is -800 degrees F. Bob steps closer. He is 1 inch away from acheving his goal when he collapses.
When Bob gets up, he steps closer to the summit. Until he steps on it. A floating diamond shovel floats over to Bob. He grabs it and runs down the mountain.
He has discovered one thing after the journey: Broken tools, whether shovel, sword, or axe, have many uses.
