Prologue
1 Year ago, Grand Hall/Warlock Central/U.S.A
On a day destined to be like no other, The Demon Warlock Prince Kremlar walked through the Indestouhji gardens, quite the opposite of the peace they represent.
As Kremlar entered the Grand Hall, he had to stop himself from jumping with glee, today was the day that he became King, being a descendant of the first Warlock to claim leadership on Earth. World Government, these humans called it. Kremlar was irritated, why did they have to come into contact with humans?
It was actually a very mysterious incident that no one knows the origin of, but he remembers exactly how his Royal Educator explained it. “Over 150 years ago, there was a disruption in space and time, it has been proven that an ancient spell was cast and intentionally did this, the disruption caused half the Earth’s population and a quarter of Earth itself to be completely vaporized without a single trace. This incident had also brought us ‘Mighty Demon Warlocks, peaceful but powerful beings of magic’, well, that’s what the human race we came across calls us, hehe. We came to this world with only the strongest memories, of lifestyle and our history, and we met with the humans, they were in great chaos and we came to their aid, we agreed to take control peacefully…†And so on. Kremlar was uninterested, which was why he remembered every bit of it. He despised humans, since the day he was born, he would imagine the day he’d become King, then he could fix everything and put humans in their rightful place.
This plan would take action on that very day, a plan set out by a mysteriously short boy in a cloak, who could do magic. It was amazing, but he was a dark boy, Kremlar was unable to see or identify him, but he felt an amazing amount of power emanating from him. The mysterious boy, or short man, told Kremlar about a fantastic plan of world domination and human slavery, and how Kremlar would control it all. This delighted him, but Kremlar got the uneasy feeling that he was some sort of servant to this boy.
Kremlar didn’t have time to think about it though as that day had now come.
As he was led through the Great Hall and onto the stage, everybody watched in awe and envy, though none of them would admit it, as Kremlar was sat down on the seat next to the High Warlock Priest, all of the higher ranking Warlocks were in The Great Hall, about 300. Kremlar sat there as our orchestra was playing ceremonial music to begin… Well, the ceremony. Once the music finished all The Warlocks stood up and gave a round of applause. After calling for a moment of silence, the Priest began talking about Kremlar’s life, about how he was sometimes impatient as a child, or how he was of a high intellect and, naturally, filled to the brim with power. Kremlar was very patient during the coronation, but even then he still couldn’t keep calm, he was getting more and more frustrated with the time it took for a coronation, 3 hours exactly, even with every coronation before him, 3 hours. Unnecessarily long, especially for those who have a plan to hatch as soon as it’s done.
As the coronation came to an end, Kremlar was getting excited again. This is it. “Kremlar, stand up, if you please.†Said the Priest. Kremlar stood. “Bring in the crown!†The Priest said cheerfully. They brought out the crown. Almost time for the plan… “Kremlar, I will soon declare you, with great honor, honor felt by all of us…†Kremlar was getting very irritated. Blah, blah, blah. “Stop stalling, you fool!†He wanted to scream. The Priest continued. “… And by the people and demons of earth, we all feel this.†He waved to a camera that was streaming the ceremony to the whole world, Kremlar forgot about the cameras, but he didn’t mind, he would execute his plan when the cameras were turned off.
The priest continued. “Repeat after me to recite The Binding of Kings. I, Kremlar the demon prince, heir to the throne, accept my duty as The King of Warlocks, which is to do what I can to protect the Humans along with us, The Warlocks. I swear not to bring harm to any of those who live beside me.†Kremlar repeated exactly that, except, he had my wrists crossed behind his back, which was the equivalent of crossing your fingers. Childish? Yes. But with magic enhancing it? Let's just say it’s effective. As Kremlar finished reciting the oath, a huge magic seal appeared above him, at the same time, his wrists crackled static. The seal came down on him to confirm the oath, it faded, indicating that it’s job was done. In actual fact, it was absorbed into the spell, but it was too discreet to notice.
“I, High Priest.†Finally. “Declare Kremlar as the new Demon Warlock King! Let us rejoice!†Everyone cheered. At last there was a new king! At that exact moment, the cameras turned off. Now.
Confused faces were made as the Warlocks in the Grand Hall turned to see their new King slowly raise a device held in his hand. His red demon aura started to show and the red static electricity started to crackle. Every Demon Warlock has a red aura, along with the static electricity that it emits, the only way to tell the difference between the strong and the not-so-strong was how much static they produced. This was a lot.
Kremlar had fully charged his device. It was a little device he made privately when he was alone that, when charged with aura, all the Warlocks in the world would fall into a distorted trance, one they are 99.9% unlikely to fall out of. Kremlar thought that saying percentages was nerdy, but when someone is highly intelligent it can’t be helped. This device took over Warlock’s minds by emitting a special magical frequency that reacted to the DNA of a Warlock, confusing their brainwaves and manipulating them to a certain voice, also connecting them to a microphone made out of pure aura, so anything that Kremlar ordered would be sent out through the world and they would obey. As King, Kremlar already had them under command, but now he would them under his control.
This was a revolution. This was happening now. “Prepare yourself, humans…†Kremlar muttered. “… for a world of pain, through slavery, of course.†Kremlar raised his arms as if he was embracing the Earth itself. “Atten-hut!†All the Warlocks in the Grand Hall, actually, the world stood attention immediately. In the distance, some pots and pans were dropped and a loud yelp was heard. Kremlar smirked.
This was going to be fun.
