A cool theory on stopping time I have.

So we've probably all seen at least one show that has an episode where sombody stops time, right? Everybody around him/her completely stops moving without ever even realizing time stopped in the first place. Whenever they are stuck in the exact position they were in the second time stopped, they can't see anything that the person who stopped time is doing.
From the perspective of the one who stopped time, time is still going for him or her, but everyone/everything else is frozen. From everyone else's perspective, time never stopped and is still going normally.

THE REAL QUESTION IS....

What if whoever froze time, decided not to ever unfreeze it? What would be seen from everyone else's perspective? Remember, the people who are frozen can not see that they are frozen. What do they see though? Do they see nothing as if they were dead?

Here's my theory on what happens;

From the perspective of the people who were frozen, they never were frozen. Life goes on exactly as it normally would, except for ONE thing. The person who froze time disappeares and is never seen again. Where is he/she? In a world where time is still frozen, and so is everyone else. Basically there are now two worlds and in one of them, time didn't stop in the first place.

This of course, all assuming time is linear and able to be manipulated. Neither of which are "True"

I'm thinking that the person who froze time didn't really "freeze" anything. They're just going so fast that everything else appears still, only moving by increments not noticed by the human eye.

Or going faster than the speed of light wouldn't let the light bouncing off everything else to reach your eyes, making everything the last thing you saw before you "froze" time.
I think a phenomenon similar to this is what they believe happens to time in black holes.

When I hit the word "frozen" I stopped reading it.

Damn Frozen fandom.

^ Yes, if time stopped, you would stop too, but maybe frozen people are in another reality, where time never stopped anyways? Without the moving person.

Go to boo, i moved there.

If you froze time, light wouldn't move, as it's frozen in place. Unless you moved perfectly in the direction of light, you would see a distorted view of the world. Plus, if you would turn around to look behind you, everything would be black.
I spend a lot of time thinking of this.
Death is not the end. It is merely a step towards the unknown.

^Have you made the assumption that all light moves in....

ONE DIRECTION?

Okay, genius time. By Albert Einstine's theory of time is curved, there fore CAN BE manipulated, where as there will be fixed points in time that ALWAYS happens, no matter what, and cannot be changed. Though, by "stopping time" all you are truely doing is creating a parrelel time vortex, where everyone is "stopped", and the two "timelines" or, should i say "timebends" would run along side eachother, where the new one is on the inside curve, causing it to go "faster" (by using the theory of relativity) and becuase of this, you could produce enough force to make the new time"bend" do a "u-turn" so you could go back to where you started, with whatever you did okay. If you could produce enough energy to do that, in theory, you could go the other way. Now, becuase everything physical has stopped, but you, which would require MUCH more force, but becuase light is seen by light waves reflecting off a surface, yes, whoever said it, it would be all black, so there would be absoulutly pointless, as you could not see. So, in theory, this is possible, how much energy would it take? More than the world can produce combined. Yes, I have put thought into this before.
Hi.

You see, everything is possible in theory, but when you get to "restrictions" then you realize its pointless, though, that would be amazing technology. You can use the same theory for time travel, to, by creating a "bubble" on a alternate time course, that bends a slight bit less than the "main time course" so you could reach a segment of time where the two intersect.

Ok, I just got my universal remote control at Bed Bath & Beyond from a scientist there.

All I have to do is press "pause" to pause time, and kick someone I hate on his croch. That'll be useful.

Fun Fact:

Because the way how light travels, when we look through telescope, we're technically seeing a planet as it looked like in the past, so there could be aliens, our telescopes just aren't strong enough to see them yet.

Telescopes = Time Travel
