I know that this topic might be old already, but as the PS4 and Xbox One already out world wide, (expect for Xbox One, Microsoft isn't even sure to release it in Japan.) we see that Wii U sales are still bad, worse than the Vita. (But at least it outsold 360 sales in Japan.)

Satoru Iwata said that he blames the Wii U GamePad for its bad sales.

He states that people are still confused about it and still thinking that it's just an add on to the Wii.

So, what are your thoughts? Do you think Nintendo will focus more on the system than the GamePad? Will it have mercy?

A lot of games have a superb gamepad feature (ZombiU, Wind Waker HD) while others have next to none (3D World, Donkey Kong). So it's anybody's guess on whether Nintendo will stop support for the gamepad. Most likely though, I think that they won't.
