Crisis In Ukraine: Impending War

If it hasn't come to your attention yet, because I know the majority of you don't give a rat's ass about foreign affairs, Russia is stirring a hellof a lot of trouble in Ukraine as we speak.
More specifically, the region of Crimea.

Russian troops in Balaklava, Crimea.

Let's keep it simple:
Basically, Russia has had a naval base in Ukraine for some time, but they very recently deployed their military forces into Crimea, looking to take back this area from Ukraine.

What makes it more complicated is the fact that parts of Ukraine actually WANT Russia to take them back.
Ukraine's people have long been split between looking towards Western Europe, and the other half looking East towards Russia.

Ukrainian pro-Russian activists rally in Donetsk, Ukraine.

Now you might be asking "Why is this my problem?" or "What does the US have to do with this?"
Well, Obama has been warning Russia's president, Vladimir Putin, for some time that invading Ukraine would be a grave mistake. Vlad does not want any outside forces like the nosy US to meddle in Russia's business.

And why does Russia care so much? Some say they're trying to restore Soviet might. Do you think WWIII is impending, or a civil war? Should the US stay out of it or should we respond to the frail Ukrainian government's pleas for help? Discuss.

My mom said
"We wouldn't be having all these wars if everyone minded their own business"

I really don't wanna die.. I really hope we don't go into a war. Plus, it's Russia.

^ We know Obama. As much as I think we should let revolution take place in Ukraine, he's going to butt in just like he did in Syria.
The Ukraine government is practically begging for help from the UN, West Europe, and the US. We should be fine as long as more European countries don't get involved.

Wait for Ben to show up and chide us for supposedly not knowing anything about politics.

^ Shh. Everyone has their own opinions.
I actually want people to tell me what they think.
Plus, I purposely made this overly simple. Otherwise nobody would read it.

Kaiserin- Apparently not simple enough.

Russia isn't surrounded by war, war is surrounded by Russia
