I think you are missing a point that is trying to be said.
It's not like we want the entire website to be another 4chan.

The forums aren't "dying", you're just too active. You expect everyone to be on at the same time as you, and treat it like an instant messaging system.
The point of the forums are for people to come on when they want to, comment on stuff, leave, then come back later. not stick around for a half hour commenting on everything, waiting for someone else to show up.

Also, it may seem more vacant here simply because people can't come up with creative threads anymore, that aren't copies of old ones...Replies seem slow because no one is interested in replying. This doesn't mean the forums are dead, or dying. It's only proof of how difficult it is to come up with original, interesting material.
Nonetheless, new threads are still being made, and those threads are still getting replies. It may be slower than before, but it's activity.

I don't see what the big complaint is...Recent threads are being bumped to the second page rather quickly...
Just because your thread may not get replies instantly, doesn't mean the forums are dead...It's a message board, not a IM chat.
Considering that the majority of Plaza members are in the USA, Plaza can seem vacant during the day (or, afternoon/night depending where you live) while it's "school season". However during the night (in the U.S) Plaza seems as lively as ever. It stays consistently busy here compared to actual dead sites like SN/H4D.
It may not be as busy as it once was, but it's certainly still active. Be thankful for what's still here.
