So.. I was watching Good Mythical Morning one day, and they brought up the topic of Nars One They want to send 4 humans to inhabit the red planet by 2025, but there's a catch.. It's a one way trip. You can't come back. Are you interested? Me? Heck no! I do not want to spend the rest of my life on a lonely, oxygen-less, planet. There would be less gravity though (finally back flips!).. The trip would take 215 days and 4 more people would be sent every 2 years. Anyone can go.. You just make a video telling why you wanna go.. Would you go?

See, it would be cool to live on Mars, but overall... Hm...

PROS
You'll live in space.

It'd be really frickin' cool.

You'd have human company.

CONS

One of Mars's moons (Phobos) is bound to crash into it one day, effectively creating apocalypse.

Mars has water- but the atmosphere is so thin it cannot exist in liquid form. Only vapor and ice.

No human could survive the low pressure of Mars. If you went to Mars without an appropriate space suit, the oxygen in your blood would literally turn into bubbles, causing immediate death.

Mars lacks an ozone layer; therefore, the surface of Mars is bathed in a lethal dose of radiation every time the sun rises.

The average temperature on Mars is –81° and can range from –205° in the winter to 72° Fahrenheit in the summer.

The cons heavily outweigh the pros; however, I'm sure scientists have worked their way around these problems...

The only reason we can't currently go to Mars and back is that it would take a school's volume of fuel to make a 2-way trip. We don't have enough yet.

I'd hate to live alone with 4 people on Mars. Especially if oxygen starts running low.

Funny thing, we were talking about this at school yesterday.
