Friends, Fights, and Terrible Nights: Prolouge

This is a sneak peak into my book I'm writing, featuring a few Plazaians. When the book is finished an published, I'll post a link to purchase it.

My name is Alexandra. Long name, I know, but my name isn't what made me so different from the world.

I was born average; brown, almost auburn hair, pale skin, pink lips, and a bit odd were my storm grey eyes. That wasn't the half of it though.

Years went by. I only remember my childhood from stories my mother told me. At the age of four, something strange happened. On the small of my back, a small blue tail sprouted. I don't know why or how it came, all I know is I woke up one morning and it was there.

Only two people know about my tail. My mother and I. No one else can either, or else who knows what would happen. School was almost an issue. I went through elementary and middle school, always at the top of my class, and always getting beat up and taunted. My pasty white skin became covered in scars and bruises. At night I cried myself to sleep at night simply because I felt so alone. I could never make friends.

High school came, which is mostly where my story really begins.

This is the story of my past, present and future. Of love, loss, and compassion. Of friends, fights, and terrible nights.

Thanks, and correct, it is. Most of the stuff in the Prolouge, and parts of the actual book, are 100% true. Obviously the blue tail wasn't, but, ya know.
