Hello, 3DSPlaza. This topic is about three major events happening in a short time from now. I was planning to write this later, but since one of the three events is drawing near fast, I am giving away some info already.
Well then... Let's begin.
Almost exactly one year ago, January 30th 2011, I registered www.3dsplaza.com. That was the birth of this all. I had quite some time on my hands, because (I'm not going to give out much be detailed here) I used to play a lot (and with that I mean a lot) of tennis. Because of an injury, I suddenly got loads of "free" time, which I used to start developing 3DSPlaza.
I started with a simple PC version, then added a chat, made a DSi version, made a 3DS version, and so 3DSPlaza grew.
But it didn't only grow in development, more and more users started registering, causing 3DSPlaza to become more of a community. This again caused the creation of Forums and Statuses.
When I started making 3DSPlaza, I had some sort of imaginary list of things I wanted to be on 3DSPlaza, and most of these are developed and in use now.
That's why I think that 3DSPlaza's first anniversary is a good time for me to stop intensively working on 3DSPlaza. Programming 3DSPlaza sure is great, but there's so much more I want to do. My injury is also finally over, and school is requiring more and more time, so I also have less time to spend.
What exactly this means? I do not know. I'll need some time and freedom to do whatever I feel like. This might mean I quit 3DSPlaza for quite some time without warning. It may mean I will start a brand new 3DSPlaza game that I'll be working on for a lot of time. It might also mean I'll just stay on the forums for a bit, but won't do much programming. It might even mean nothing really changes.
In other words; I don't know what I'm going to do yet, but be prepared for seeing me less around here.
So, lining up these events:
- 3DSPlaza's first anniversary
- 10,000th member
- Me "quitting" 3DSPlaza
Whatever may happen, I'll try to move to a better webhost (still) and make 3DSPlaza's anniversary a great one, with for example eShop cards giveaways.
