Mindfreak - Creepypastas with a huge twist at the end, usually humorous. How to detect - Does the pasta describe something that seems familiar? EX: "The scariest video game ever" Does the pasta describe something with strange details? EX: "The man in red".

Trollpasta: Creepypastas with rather humorous events and details. It can also be a creepypastas unintended to be super bad. It usually makes fun of often used cliches in creepypastas. How to detect - Reading it as a serious pasta, does it suck unbearably? Does it use cliches such as, "hyper realistic" or the old man event? EX: "Sonic.EXE" (the other version) Does it use the names Tom or Kyle, (it's actually used quite a bit) It also can mean references to random people only mentioned once. EX: Same as above. Does it have really bad grammar like "u" or "da"?

copypasta is text copied and pasted throughout the internet. Usually things like urban spam (when you post an urban legend saying you'll die if you don't spam it.) How to detect - Does the creepiness happen from things we all do? EX: "The Smith Sisters" Does it say you'll die if you don't post it on 10 or more things? Is it a simple short story? EX: "The Split Mouth Woman" Does the pasta appear on other sites as well? EX: "Ben Drowned"

Fan Fiction: These are pastas that aren't truly pastas because they aren't meant to scare you or disturb you because they usually make tales of previously made pasta characters. How to detect - Do they show a lot of pasta characters? EX: Pasta monsters Does it not seem creepy? Does it have other characters with a not very creepy background?
