It's all thanks to overprotective parents. They won't allow you to socialize freely enough to become just like everyone else. Sometimes that's a good thing though.

I used to be that way because of my mom practically hiding my existence from any part of society that doesn't involve her overly enforced religious beliefs. I could've turned out much worse.

My parents found out 2 years ago because I had bad / slow reflexes .-.
I told my dad what it was and he told me not to give out any personal information (too late for friend oops) and he was cool with it.

Basically, the key, is to make your parents trust you. When they trust you, you can do a lot more than sneaking around. Js.

Although sneaking around is pretty fun irl... c;

My sister doesn't even care what I'm doing on my 3DS

My little brother has no idea what 3DSPlaza is

My mom thinks Im playing Mario/Zelda all the time

My step dad though, he did almost caught me. He wondered what was I doing on my 3DS, so I quickly go back to the Home Menu and go back to the game so he wouldn't suspect and tell my mom.
