Nin10dude789 (2013-08-29 03:56:11)I actually like the design, but dispite that it cannot close, so you must be asking how is it going to use StreetPass and SpotPass. It has a ''Sleep Switch'' making the system go to sleep mode, or wake it up.
The Home button looks amazing and better than the 3DS and 3DS XL, Start and Select are moved back at the bottom of the A B X Y buttons.
L and R buttons are bigger and easier to reach.
Screen sizes is the same like on the original 3DS.
2DS can use all 3DS games, download, etc and DS and DSiWare, but the difference is playing in 2D.
Camera will still take 3D pictures so other users can see it in 3D.
Overall, kind of useless. I'm not getting it for 1 reason: 3D.
It's like someone playing Super Mario 3D in 2D
Star Fox 64 3D in 2D
Ocarina of Time 3D in 2D
Pointless.
However, it might be usefull for people who don't like the 3D feature, having trouble viewing 3D images, or for younger users.

Wii U price cut: Good. Makes my likelihood of getting it go from a "hell no" to a "maybe."

also its simple to make money with this one since it cost practically nothing to make.

Mewtwo21 (2013-08-29 12:28:18)Nintendo did it with their DS(the fat DS,DS Lite, Dsi , Dsi xl) and like you said their Gameboy Adv. also had different iterations. So really it shouldn't be a suprise to anyone if Nintendo makes different versions of their handhelds. Especially weird or "unnecessary" ones.

The Nintendo 2DS
Quite suprisingly today Nintendo announced alot major news today. Starting with whats above, what your seeing is the next iteration of the 3DS. No its not a joke, this thing will be in stores October 12th and sold at the price of 129$ or £109.99 in Europe. The handheld will not feature 3D. The 2DS still has the 3DS's backwards compatibility with DS games and will still be able to play all downloadable and retail games. It'll be available in both Red and blue.

Its just one big touchscreen only the top screen is protected by plastic. it looks like their are two screen when the casing just makes it look like that.

One thing I will agree with for the majority of you is the design of the handheld and how bad it looks. The handheld looks like it would be uncomfortable to use since how flat it is. Another thing is how big it is now that it looks like it's not portable at all. The naming is also an issue since i feel like people whi are not familiar with gamming will now the difference between this and the 3DS. They might confuse it with a new handheld or something. nonetheless i plan on buying one once my sister starts bothering me that she wants a 3DS.

Nintendo finnaly confirmed the rumors of their being a limited edition Wii U bundle. What the bundle will bring is the downloadable version of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD along with a digital copy of the book Hyrule Historia. The will sell be sold in stores 20th September( 4th Of October in Europe) at the price of $299.99. If you still want the physical version of the game Gamestop is offering a figurine when you pre-order
