Atari had a good run, and accidentally changed gaming.

Thanks to Atari's mistakes, Activision is born, making them the world's first 3rd party developer ever.

Making a backwards compatibility console

And stupid useless features on their consoles.

Even they created the analog stick, Nintendo just revived it with the N64, now making it the most common thing on modern gaming.

The Atari 2600's controller is now the icon of gaming.

So thanks, Atari!

the first video game was in the 40's. also atari shut down in the 70's after E.T. failing so badly and the 50 billion consoles they released.
