Happy American Independence Day, everyone. On this date, some 237 years ago, on July 4, 1776 we broke apart from the British Empire and established a new nation.
Interesting fact is that only 8 months prior to our independence the Marine Corps was established on November 1775. Maybe the Marines played an important part in our gaining independence.
Why do we speak English?
Because we were originally part of Britain who speak English.
Interesting to know. Let's celebrate our independence by going out with family and friends and watching/lighting some fireworks.
It would be cool if you post your fireworks pictures here or any experiences you might have.
