Every retro gamer HAS to know about the movie "The Wizard", which lead to "Nintendo World Championships 1990" in real life. The finalist winners got their copy of Nintendo World Championships. They also gave away gold cartridges in an issue of Nintendo Power. Reproduction carts are also sold on the internet.
Don't remember?

The gray cartridge is sometimes auctioned off, demanding large prices. This is due to the rarity and being won. And the gold cartridge is even MORE rare, as only 27 (I believe) were made. They demand well over five thousand dollars.
I believe the gray is more exclusive. Well, sure, the magazine one was gold, but they really just cut out the logo and pasted it on a gold cartridge, possibly a Legend of Zelda cartridge. The gray one has champion barcodes or whatever.
Oh, by the way,
The red label is a magazine lie.
Well, while cheating (like I always do), I made a discovery from a ROM I got. It was that the game has the same multi-rom technology that the 10000000-in-1 carts have. Yep, they just used that.
