Have you ever encountered a ghost?
Victini (2013-06-14 16:40:51)V is for VICTORY!!!

SPCOxion (2013-06-14 20:12:34)Once. It wasn't physical or anything, I just had nightmares about ghosts for a few days.
That, or I was just paranoid from watching a boatload of "Ghost Catchers" or whatever.
shadowdwar (2013-06-14 20:15:38)I did. I was really little though. Didnt see one but heard a disembodied voice. Said something 2 me (cant remember what it was, only remember what the voice sounded like) ive also had similar experiences. Also little at the time, was swimming in a deep pool alone when something pulled me to the bottom. And dont tell me it was the pools circulation or whatever, i felt a hand grab my leg and pulled me under. But im not complaining, i learned how 2 swim that day
The funny thing about people who believe in ghosts is, they don't even try to think of what else it could of been when they have a weird experience before assuming it's a ghost.
They don't even try to find evidence or even look around them to see if there were any other possibilities that could've caused it. The truth of the matter is, shadows can be caused by and infinite number of things. Seeing a shadow that's not yours doesn't make it a ghost.
The only thing that would make it a ghost would be if you were in a room with no furniture, windows or anything and you saw a shadow moving while you were standing still, that's a ghost.
But you can't prove that it was a ghost unless you show the other people. There's also the fact that it could just be something else. For example. Being in an empty room could cause you to hallucinate. Most people would just assume they saw a ghost anyway.
That's one of the many reasons why people are annoyed by others believing in ghosts. They aren't mature enough to try and find out what else it could of been before just assuming it's a ghost.
Why do people do this?
Two reasons are:
1. People are ignorant.
2. People WANT ghosts to be real because they are scared of what happens after death. They can't know and won't ever know 100% for sure if there is life after death, therefore making it seem more comfortable to just believe that ghosts are real.
Another thing that could cause illusions is that light can play tricks on the human eye. Just like a camera, out eyes can only catch a limited amount of frames per second. This not actually being able to see what is really there whenever light goes by or gets reflected off something quickly.
This could cause the brain to create the shape of a face since the human brain is always looking for faces, this making you think you saw light shaped like a human, this making you assume it was a ghost even though you have no evidence that it is a ghost whatsoever. You are just simply too lazy to actually figure out if its not really a ghost.
This is why your "experience" is nothing more than certain events being out together before you making a lazy assumption.
And that is why you should close this thread and stop trying to force your beliefs on us without evidence. What is your next excuse?
"Whatever"?
I'm exited to see what your next pathetic excuse will be after you actually read what I just posted.
( since void enigma appears to be gone, I'll take it from here )
