I agree with you on these subjects. microsoft is making this machine for TV functions basically. With used game fees and youll need kinect all the time is crazy. stuff like this uses more energy consumption. Anyway those are just a few of my opinions...

PS4 and maybe Wii U, not touching this junk.

Oh, and for the social part-One word: Phones.

I buy systems to play games, not call people a bundle of sticks and tell them what I did to their Mom online.

And newer TVs like mine have Netflix and Hulu built in, you don't even need to stream it through a game system.

On your first comment you said Sony's known for power. But the PS2 and PS were actually weaker than the competition power-wise. Nintendo used the be the one with power (NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube)

Also, you say a machine focused solely on games won't make it successful. But, gaming systems are made for *gasp* games. The majority of people out there game on them, the gimmicks are typically an afterthought. I sure don't known anymore who raves about Move or Kinnect.

Lastly, the power leap from PS3 to PS4 is HUGE. 512MB of RAM versus 8GB of RAM. Big leap.

There are so, so many ways graphics, AI, and physics can be improved, we haven't seen anything yet.

People always say "graphics can't get any better" and then they're proven wrong every generation.

One is NOT backward compatibility with 360 games. IGN says you can download 360 games on the One, but you have to re-buy em. This will cost a fortune.
