Heyo. Proxion here.
This thread lists guidelines that, if followed, can help you be a great forumer. These are all optional-- You don't HAVE to follow these when making a new thread. Although, if you follow them, then can help you stay out of hot water. That means, if you ignore all of these, the probability of you becoming a disliked user and even the probability of getting yourself banned increases. If you don't want any of that, then this thread is for you.

Until further notice, instead on sticky requesting this, hit that up there.

Let's begin.

1) Follow the rules. This is EXTREMELY crucial for keeping yourself unbanned. They can be found [link=http://3dsplaza.com/forums/topic.php?topic=42743]here[/link], or in the "This Plaza" forum.

2) Limit yourself. This means that try not to make too many threads in a short amount of time. This can be considered spam, and it can get you banned. I'd reccomend two or three threads every week, and try not to make them all on the same day.

3) Think twice before you make it. Has the thread already been made? Does this thread break the rules in any way? Will this thread cause drama? Does this thread serve a point? Ask yourself that before clicking that submit button.

4) Don't use the forums for what PMs are for. That's like using your nose instead of your style for typing on your DS. If the user has PMs set to 'friends only', then use their comments. If they have that set to 'friends only' too, then you'll have to wait. Try sending them a friend request.

5) Try to keep from posting threads centered around things such as:
-Religion
-Adult subjects
-Your personal life
And pretty much anything else that will create drama.

6) Try not to join bandwagons. If a lot of users are making threads about something, don't join the 'bandwagon' and make one about that something. This can be considered spam, even if you're not the only one making threads about it.

7) Make sure your thread belongs in this forum. What you want to post may belong in one of the other forums. Make sure you post it there instead of here.

8) Have a question about the forums? I suggest asking a forum mod, instead of starting a new thread about it. If you can't reach one mod, try reaching another. I'd suggest asking MegaBeanish, because he's been here for quite a long time, and he has pretty much all the forum rules and stuff down. Plus, he's the least likely to overreact or hate you for some stupid reason.

That's all for now, I can't think of anything else to list. Have an idea for a guideline? Suggest it in the comments, and of course, I will credit you for your idea.
EDIT: Seriously? You've all said this has been made before, but none of you provided proof.

What more, it seems you got my hard work -- AND my effort to improve the Misc. forum -- locked.

Also, it may be common sense to you, but a lot of the new users WILL need this. (Examples from the past are belle2009, shadowprince, and a bunch of other people starting threads about their [cyber]bullying experience.) Not to mention, these probably aren't aimed at you if you're a regular forumer.

Thanks.

Don't want to sound like a jerk, but there have been a lot of threads like this in the past, plus a lot of this is common sense.

Tell you what, I'll lock it, but it'll get a temporary sticky.
