Horizon (2013-04-26 03:38:00)I was born in 2000 so it's possible I can live to 2100

Shalala (2013-04-26 05:27:34)The future... I, along with my friends, shall be killed by the fell dragon, Grima. Our children will then try to fight said dragon, but to no avail. They will come to the past and try to find us. Then we bond and stuff. But then we save everything, so the future will be a happy place.

HanShotFirst (2013-04-26 09:04:49)The future is ultimately unpredictable. We can however, look at trends to see exactly where the world is headed.
I'll skip everything and be blunt, there are really only two likely possibilities within the next 100 years.
One is complete entropy, wherein the world is now in disarray due to the eventual collapse of several nations, leaving a huge power vacuum several will try to fill, leading to a wide-scale war.
The second is no change whatsoever, AKA, a delay of the 1st scenario for some time due to several political unbalances "breaking even"; doing just enough to keep the situation from getting worse, but not enough for it to improve.
Why is there no good option where everything is bright and sunny? The short version is this; Utopianism is a lie. It will forever be beyond the reach of man to find a mutual understanding between it's relationship with the land, themselves, and life itself. It is this inability to try to understand that holds us back. The only way one can finally reach that conclusion is when they are reaching their final hours after years of experience and wisdom.
Or to put it simply; Youth is wasted on the young.

OracleSkylark (2013-04-26 09:26:59)I think it'll be good and bad:
Good:
Lots of technology, heck sci-fi is already getting real, the laser weapon.
We have the technology to make a bionic eye, but in time, we can afford it.
bad:
We may lose more of our Bill of Rights, there are already Pre-K kids cussing, what's next, 4 year olds going on shooting sprees?
I'm a cherry.
SPCOxion (2013-04-26 14:17:02)...I don't know.
It'll either be bright, or dark.
...It's our choice, when you think about it.
ANDROID11 (2013-04-27 15:55:19)will be eaten by zombies but not me!
To the town of Agua Fria rode a stranger one fine day
Hardly spoke to folks around him, didn't have too much to say,
No one dared to ask his business, no one dared to make a slip
The stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip..

pikarceus (2013-04-27 21:48:23)Europe will be overrun by Muslims.
There will be even more redtape and regulations in the U.S, and we'll have moved on from g@y marriage to transgender marriage and allowing people to have multiple wives and marry their relatives and kids.
Also, real-realistic graphics. Eventually we'll get past just photo-realistic.
Also, to whoever said "kids saying less cuss words," I hope you realize that mankind has been befouling the air with curses for thousands of years and they aren't about to stop.
TFDFrance (2013-04-27 22:11:39)Child abuse must be re-legalized if society is to recover the loss of child contribution.
That's hot.

The future is horrible. The whole world will be ruled by one oppressive government.
