Mojang has revealed that it may one day bring Minecraft to the PlayStation 3, but a Wii U version is "unlikely".

Speaking to iGamer (via Edge), Minecraft Pocket lead designer Jens Bergensten revealed that other consoles would be considered once the game's exclusivity deal runs out with Microsoft.

"Microsoft has an exclusivity deal for consoles,” he said. ”When it runs out we’ll consider Minecraft for PlayStation, but Wii U is very unlikely."

In the meantime the company is said to be focusing on refining the Pocket Edition of the game so it's more in line with the PC version, particularly with reference to "so-called online multiplayer."

Personally i dont give a sh*t cause i don't see whats so special about Minecraft. I have it on my pc and i don't see the point of it.

Sure, Microsoft is selfish, but I don't care. If you have Minecraft on PC, you're covered. The PC version is way better than the Pocket, and 360 version. Besides, the Wii U will have more better games. So I still don't give a sh!t.

Look kid, this thread is not comparing the Xbox 360 version to the PC version at all. Your missing the point.

The point is that the WiiU is not getting Minecraft and you sad excuses for "gamers" who's only allegiance lies with the Nintendo brand, are not gonna play it.

Well, well, well. The Microsoft deal is about to end, and Minecraft is about to appear not only on PlayStation 3, but also Wii U. The reason why they said ''Wii U is unlikely'' is because they asked the wrong person. That person was incharge of the PC and Pocket. So after all, Wii U will have the same chance as the PS3.
