The whole Illuminati theory falls flat on one simple hole in logic.

That means that, a secret society that you claim exists has managed to stay in the shadows, avoiding leaving behind any trace whatsoever of their existence, and yet, out of all the people in the world, you are the only one capable of figuring out their motives and who's in it.

Not presenting proof the Illuminati exist aside, you basically said "Every mainstream artist is attempting to control your mind"

Time to bring in another history lesson for you peeps.

The original Illuminati formed sometime in the 18th century in Europe. Their goal was to overthrow the Monarchies and replace them with democratic/republic governments. Mind you, this was basically treason, and the sentence for so much as considering the notion of ending the King's rule was death.

So what could these guys do? They wanted to hide out, because if they were caught, the next time they'd see sunlight is when they're marching to the gallows. The best place for a secret society to hide?

Inside another secret society.

Now this is where misunderstanding formed the conspiracy theory. The Illuminati infiltrated Masonic Lodges, where Freemasons practiced their religion. The Illuminati and the Masons were 2 entirely different groups, and the Illuminati these theories speak of is in no way similar to either.

Back to the story. The Illuminati had hidden out for quite some time, but then the Masonic lodges had been shut down, leaving them without a hiding place. Not long after, the group had split up due to the constant disagreements between the more democratic members and the ones leaning towards republican.

Basically, they failed.

There was a short period later where they reformed in Italy, but they soon split apart again.
