First step: Analyze the zombies. There's been different kinds in pop culture, with different takes on their movements (Some slow, some fast) and senses (Some can see, others based on hearing, still some on smell, ect.) When I can determine what attracts them, I can learn to avoid them.

Second step: Raid nearby locations for weapons. In a zombie apocalypse, a gun is a double-edged sword, since the noise can attract more of the Evil Dead. You'll need something to silently dispatch them. As hilariously stupid as this sounds, an Axe (not the bodyspray) is effective, and for lack of tools available, you can make a makeshift Bayonet with a knife and pole.

Step 3: Set-up base at any building with multiple exits, and lockable rooms. For this, I heavily suggest a shopping mall. As long as you avoid entering basements, (Due to poor light and only 1 exit) you're safe. Camping on the highest floor is not recommend. It should be elevated, but as close to ground floor as possible.

Step 4: Scrounge for supplies. In the apocalypse, several stores are looted or abandoned. It is highly suggested you perform this during the safest possible time. If you picked a shopping mall as your base, this step is easy.

Step 5: Look for survivors. You're going to die fast if you're alone. However, too many survivors living together creates conflict.

Step 6: If there are men and wimminz, Begin repopulation.
