ARE YOU PEOPLE SERIOUS.

Swearing is against the rules.

Stop trying to justify it, or say it can't be stopped, or say it doesn't matter.

This site is meant to be kid friendly, and sadly that is failing because of disrespectful smart-alecks like you people.

If you want to swear and cuss and post porn and be a jerk, GO TO 4CHAN.

Mass death, shut up before I report you for cursing. I mean it.

The internet is a culture. Just like every culture, there is taboo, there are laws, and there are idiots who do taboo things and break laws. Those inappropriate usernames are a perfect example of the 3rd.

I'm all for challenging authority. Challenging authority is one of the many things that prevents a culture from going stagnant. However, there's a time and a place to challenge the will of the Admins and Mods.

As they've said, a curse or two won't kill someone. Peppering your posts with curse words however, draws a line.

^ Listen, a ban for cursing is like what happened during the Prohibition here in America.

Cursing, much like alcohol, is a common event. Attempting to outlaw it will be unsuccessful, because it give trouble makers (In the Prohibition, the Cosa Nostra) one more thing to do, and the ban itself being a ludicrous rule to follow.

I'm not saying we should all cuss and that's okay. Cuss words are frowned upon in RL for being vulgar language, and that extends to here as well. But there are better ways to go about it. In this case, a single bypassed curse word doesn't exactly merit a ban. Compared to certain pics people put on their profiles, a single curse is insignificant. You could've simply edited it out, give a warning, then let everything be dandy.

Too Long; Did not Read! version: The punishment doesn't fit the crime. If you want to ban, ban the people that still have nude pics on their profiles.

To the people raging at me for banning Screamer, I have already banned him two times before this for the exact same reasons: Swearing and being inappropriate.

He isn't taking the hint, and continues to do it right after his ban is up, which is why I went hard on him this time.

And to all you, again, trying to justify this, let me remind you that swearing is against the rules here.

Nothing you say or think matters, those are the rules, and while on this site you have to follow them.

@Doreee-Just saying crap, damn, ass, or hell won't get you in trouble, but if you were to say something like "Go to hell, you little piece of crap" we would have a problem.
pikarceus (2013-01-26 16:58:53)
Ah, the so called "noobs."

Well, I've been keeping an eye on the RP room, and a lot of these "noobs" are actually a lot better than you people.

For one, they show respect.

I had a lot of freaked out "noobs" as you would call them asking me what is and isn't a swear, what is and isn't a bypass, etc, etc. They were actually concerned and worried about breaking the rules, amazing right?

Now, not all of them are like that, but a good amount know how to be civil and treat others with respect, something that seems to elude a lot of you.

But I forgot, they don't have perfect grammar, which is soooo important to you guys.
HanShotFirst (2013-01-27 02:40:59)
^ Ah yes, we are not allowed to voice our opinions on rules we don't like. Seems legit.
