A thread was actually made a day before saying there'd be an announcement on the 8th. On the day of the news, A second thread was made which revealed what was announced.

Go back a few pages, there you'll find a few threads related to this topic.

Ya, we've all known about this. There was a Nintendo direct on it. Oh yeah, and people have been wanting a Pokemon for 3DS for awhile now. The only people that will be disappointed are DSI noobs/9 yr. olds.
