That would be awful in this case though. Listen buddy, Your friend obviously wouldn't want to see you in any pain while she was alive. While yes, grief is a natural response, I'm sure that's not what she wants you to feel. Now, I'm not saying it's all sunshine and rainbows because she died, and crying over this shows you have a heart, but do you honestly believe she wants to see you cry over her? Pick yourself back up, and keep going forward ; Depression won't help at all. Just keep moving ahead, because the only thing you can do now for her now is to live and experience enough for the both of you.
Now, I won't pray. I'm atheist. But I'm here for you, if you need someone. This is a sad day for you, and you'll need all the strength you can muster to get past this trial.
