little5 (2012-12-14 17:17:08)What's wrong with a black Santa? Let's look to the history of the bible.. Everything in the bible happened in Africa. I feel it's appropriate.
HanShotFirst (2012-12-14 19:51:39)Santa's based on Saint Nicholas, who was western european. He's not mentioned anywhere in the bible

HanShotFirst (2012-12-14 21:08:17)^ Besides, they replaced Santa's Black helper, Tiling Pete, or however the hell you spell it with a bunch of elves. We don't need yet another Retcon.

You guys obviously didn't read carefully. I'm not racist just because I don't want a black Santa. I don't want him because children will think he's fake.
The point is making them believe in Santa. So changing Santa to a whole bunch of different races will cause them to assume he's fake. So where he was more known as in a certain country; keep it like that.

What the heck? I turn on my local news and they're having a segment if you think Santa shouldn't just be 'white' because I were black, I would be more influenced by a black Santa, and if I were Asian, I would be influenced more by an Asian Santa.
I can't believe they are actually bawing about this. This is utterly stupid in so many ways. If this stuff happened, I would be seeing Mexican and black Santas on TV and then assume Santa is fake. Plus he's an historical figure, why the hell would you change his race? Go for values and personality, not skin color or race.
