Similar to what O'brien said in '1974', there's always going to be people, that once given power, will become intoxicated it by it.
This creates a situation where you grant power to those who haven't been in a position of leadership at any key point in their lives, thus focus more on the power aspect than the responsibility.
Even if they're responsible, when granting Mod privileges, one needs to base it on how they've performed as a Moderator, not as a user, because even a great user can make a terrible moderator.

Of course, the majority of the users on this site are probably still in elementary/middle school, thus lack any emotional maturity; or experience for that matter.
You then become stuck with someone who apparently can't spell 'Your' and bans people because he/she disagrees with them.

And from what i've heard, Rob asks the other mods for opinions on who should be a mod. So it was most likely some other mods' stupid decision to elect a bad mod.

Ok, i woke up this morning to go on the chat. I saw that there was a new mod. 3DSPerson, and i was gonna congratulate him, but then "it" started saying i was banned. i refreshed. it said that i was banned for " " day(s), and then 3dsperson said: Banned BM for earlier spamming. 1 i just woke up. 2 "earlier"? i mean come on i didn't even get any warnings. also after he said: spamming a few days ago* and firstly, i think, that he's abusing his powers. today i got 4 pms from Robdebot 1st one: your banned for: [/red] 2nd one: unbanned and so on. Also he says someone reported on me(without any evidence)that i was spamming. even though 1. he became a mod [red] TODAY 2. I never came on the day he reported(until now) 3. He won't say who reported me and finally he had no reason of becomming a mod. Rob should start having polls on this. like replace the "advert" pane with with "polls". And to top it all of, he UNBANNED Edgee.
