Ive always felt dads are harder to shop for then moms. Mom, you can just get some flowers and card and shes gushing ( i should know, im a mom) But dads, Dads are harder to shop for. Ive tried to collect some of the top ideas that can apply to all dads no matter what their personalities are. I hope you get some ideas for Dads next birthday!

1. Tickets to his favorite sporting team event. Ive never seen a man get so tickled and excited for good seats at his favorite game.
2. Tickets to a concert. Dads love their music too, just like you do. So what if they arent always the same styles. He still enjoys it. Find an event going on in his favorite group. Send him, or better yet, go WITH him and if you have to, pretend to enjoy it. Dad would love the time with you!
3. A weekend get-a-way. Dad may not have thought he was feeling bogged down by things that are going on. So maybe take him on a short trip. Or send him and mom on a nice weekend away. Even if its some place local.
4. A Riding lawn mower. Ok before you go wait, this is a tool right? It IS a tool, but its a COOL tool, and dads LOVE cool tools. Specially if its fancy like a riding lawn mower. Just make sure to make him promise NOT to soup it up and give it a new engine hehe.
5. The new power tool he has been admiring. Unless dad works as a carpenter or other skilled tradesman, chances are there is some big power tool he wants and hasnt gotten. Keep your ears open for him saying, oh that would be fun!
6. The Jumbo Duct Tape Book Dont know about you, but i cant count how many times ive heard, fix it with duct tape, or duct tape makes it better. Get this fun book for ideas on what you really CAN do with duct tape! And while you are at it, grab a few things of the fun patterned duct tape to play with!
7. Portable GPS. This goes along with those gadget ideas. Dad may love the idea of a portable GPS, he can go for hikes or walks, or find out how far he is from the nearest restarant. You never thought knowing your location would be so much fun!
8. A membership somewhere he likes to go. This could be the gym, the zoo, a museam, a shooting range, a club. Anywhere he enjoys going. Go ahead and pay for a year for him.
9. A new BBQ. BBQs get updated every year and come out with some really fancy features. It dosent matter if your dad likes em big or small, check them out and see if there is one that fits with your dads personality.
10. A family day. As everyone grows up, its harder and harder to spend time with one another. Kids have their own interests and hate being "held down" by having spend time with their families. A day together where everyone ejoys themselves, means the world to dad. Go mini golfing, to the beach, or for a picnic somewhere. Just spend time together as a family. Take lots of photos!
