Mametchi (2012-11-10 02:46:23)When you get a son, it will be called

THaT1GuY9001 (2012-11-10 02:52:40)I would literally ask myself: Where did I go wrong? If I had found out he watched this.

pikarceus (2012-11-10 02:53:37)If my kids watch MLP after the age of 6, maybe 7 at most, there will be dire consequences.
I saw a commercial for it, and all you guys that say it has "mature themes" and is "sophisticated" are full of bs, it is marketed toward LITTLE GIRLS.
It is TV Y also, as in TV YOUNG. It's in the same area as Clifford the Big Red Dog, Arthur, Dora the Explorer and all those other kiddy shows.
Now is it natural for teenage boys to watch Dora the Explorer?
pikarceus (2012-11-10 02:58:34)"They" don't exist. No teenage boys watch Dora, this MLP thing only has gained momentum because of something called the bandwagon effect. I guess people are so insecure that they have to go to extreme lengths to feel "different" or "special."

THaT1GuY9001 (2012-11-10 03:05:15)I love how bronies are avoiding this topic.
The show is aimed towards you. @ Kylie

pikarceus (2012-11-10 03:07:27)>TV Y
>Target audience is little girls
>"Friendship is Magic"
>Colorful, sparkling, talking ponies
How is this for kids over the age of 6 exactly?

You obviosly indulge in your fandom and love it, analyzing everything about it, trying to spread it self conciously and communicating with other fans.
But the question is...
Do your parents know about all this?
If so, what is their opinion?
If not, what would you think they think?
Personally, if I knew my 14 year old son watched this show, I would be ashamed of myself for letting this happen.
