Im reading this book right now (on my own volunteer, it interested me), and I swear, it is a MASTERPIECE.

Its based on the events in the life of the author, the main thing being about her experiencing the trial of a Negro who was accused of rape.

What i've gotten to so far is when he tells his side of the story.

Has anyone else seen the movie/read the book?
