This is my first review, so lets see what I do

This is the newest Naruto game up to date, and it is known well for its roaster of 70 playable characters and anime cutscenes from the anime. This game is also known to have a story that spans from the beginning to the current state of the popular Naruto series. Does this game really live up to our hopes?

Music/Sound
One thing that the Naruto series is known for is its beautifully orchestrated music. Every arena has unique and special music to go on with the theme. And some major fights in the story like Naruto vs Sasuke has special music to go with it. Anyways, I admire the sound in the game a lot, this game is proof that the developers of this game worked really hard on the music. And there are sound effects and voice acting for every Ninjustsu and Ultimate Ninjutsu in this game. This game like all Naruto games has a Japanese voice acting option, and all anime fans know how the Japanese voice acting is way more superior to the English voice acting.

Controls
Like all fighting games, all you need to do is just mash the same button over and over again to make combos, same thing with this game. But if you add some special button combinations, you can unlock yourself to the true potential of combos and strategy, for example, I found a character has 6 different possible combos other than the standard B mashing one. To all you guys who played Naruto Ninja Storm 2, you may know that you can substitute like mad, but you can only use it 4 times in a fight in this game, so I advise you guys to not go on mashing the substitute button like you are used to in the previous games, or you will be in serious trouble in the long term. The buttons from Ninja Storm 2 are the same, so if you played it, you should not have too much difficulty getting used to this game. If you are a newcomer, these controls are very smooth and are easy getting used to.

Gameplay
This game has you playing the different tales of the different characters in the Naruto universe, each with a unique backstory. And you go though the fights in the story, but one thing I noticed is that they removed the giant boss fights and button mashing action scenes, to me, those were the best parts in the game, so this game seems more like a regular fighter now, but hopefully in the next game, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 coming out in Spring 2013 will have everything we know and love about fights in the game. And there is no RPG like the previous game, it goes from fight to narration then fight, that repeating cycle for the whole game, it was so quick without the RPG mode that I beat the game in an 8 hour video game marathon. Even without the RPG mode this game is an awesome game. And don't worry, you still have that free battle mode with single matches and team matches.

Graphics
I found that the Naruto games from Namco Baindai and CyberConnect2 always found a way to bring the Naruto universe to life in Naruto games, and they do it once again. They manage to bring the Naruto world into an anime style that is sort of cartoony but beautifully made. There are perfect lighting, backgrounds, and that is only the surface of the awesome graphics.

Story/ Multiplayer
Like I said, this story mode covers the different lives of the different Naruto characters. It shows their backstory and as an added bonus, there are animated anime cutscenes to make up for the lack of RPG, but honestly, I enjoy the anime cutscenes because RPG is just not enough to display the anime awesomeness. So like I said, you go through the major moments and fights in some important character's lifeline. I found myself knowing a lot more about Kakashi and his childhood when I was playing his story. Multiplayer is intense without the unlimited substitutions. The fights are smooth and have the occasional log, but rarely. You can now even host 8 player wifi tournaments, that I think is a wonderful addition to the online matches. There is a ranking and free play match choice so you don't have to suck and get ranked on it. Along with your Win/Lose streaks, they added a counter that counts how many times you have disconnected in a match, so now you know when you are facing a spammer or not. Along with online multiplayer, there is that usual local multiplayer that is more fun that online just for the sake that you can yell in your opponent's face. Literally. So, you can do tournaments, single matches, and team matches with a friend locally and it has no log at all just cause it's local. The bad thing about it is that if you want your friend to come over and play you as soon as you get the game you can't. You only have a limited amount of characters unlocked and you can only unlock the rest by playing story mode. I would have preferred all of them do be unlocked to begin with.

The Verdict
This game with its flaws is one of the best Naruto games that has ever been invented. If you are new to Naruto and want to catch up on the story, I suggest you get this game because it is quite the package to keep you playing for hours to come.

Final Score: 9/10

Most fighters involve precision and accuracy, button mashing will get you killed online and on anything higher than "Normal" difficulty.

Yeah, it's okay, but I'm noticing plenty of grammatical errors.
