Yes, some facts are off, but to answer the question: I like SM64DS better cos it's portable, looks better, and has more to do.

SM64DS was not quite a remake, in my opinion. The graphics were pretty much the same, with just slighty better textures. It had a lot of new content though, so maybe it is close to a remake?
