Ok everyone, since there is a lot of confusion about what is going on, I thought I'd post this report with about the best of my ability.
Most of you will know that 3DSPlaza has been down from Monday (Monday 20 August 2012, (EpochUnixStamp 1345464000)) til Friday (Friday 25 August 2012 (EpochUnixStamp 1345908600)).
You might also notice that the Notifications system is gone from the PC Version (for now).
So, let me explain a little bit.
3DSPlaza was, obviously, in a broken state that Monday afternoon, because the 3DSPlaza database had gone down. We (being most importantly Robdeprop, and less importantly myself) didn't know why at the first instance.
At about Wednesday, Robdeprop received an email (and forwarded it to me), which informed him/us about why the database was down. The email told us about a query that quote on quote "threatened the health of the server".
"This query examines 348594 rows and is being run about 50 to 70 times per second, which is unacceptable in shared hosting."
Most of you can put 2 and 2 together, and realize that the Notifications system is what was causing it. If not, I'll tell you right now that the Notifications system caused it.
So, I went and took out the Notifications system (for now) and Rob replied to the host.
And now, come Friday, 3DSPlaza is now online and running again (without the notifications system).
Before anyone goes and says anything, let me let you know that this isn't really anyone's fault. I won't explain the full story as to why this is.
