A good house?

There are some awesome ones around that you can easily find tutorials for. For example, Leostereo's Cozy Cottage (my fav to build, especially on survival).

Wolves?
I usually find them in Taiga (snowy biomes with lots of spruce trees) biomes and Forest (Oak and birch) biomes, but you might be able to find them elsewhere. See the Wiki for more help.
