Part 1 - What you need to know

To make apps or games you are going to need to know some aspects of web programming:

1> HTML
Necessity: Required
Function: Instructs the web browser what to draw to the screen. Without this, the web would be plain text.

2> CSS
Necessity: Recommended
Function: Allows you to have more control over the style of objects on the HTML page.

3> JavaScript
Not to be confused with: Java
Necessity: Basic Knowledge Recommended
Function: JavaScript opens up possibilities to interact with the browser, allowing anything from timed events to button click events.

4> PHP
Necessity: Essential for server operations
Function: Too powerful for a mere individual like me to explain. Great documentation available on php.net, by the way.

5> MySQL (SQL)
Necessity: Recommended
Function: MySQL is a database engine. Most of the operations are in Human-English, which is another great advantage.

If you want a database table, please contact SomeLuigi or Robdeprop with a table definition. Read up about this on the internet.

I understand it entirely. You just write the code with notepad and save it as a .html file. Then you can PM someluigi about putting the game up.

I find it incredibly annoying to program on my iPod or 3ds. I use my laptop for everything.
