Ok, so Puppy managed to find a bug with spoilers, that doesn't seem easily fixable. I'll check phBB or something later, and see about that.
In the meantime, I'd like to tell you about Nesting order.
[red][spoiler]Cool![/red][/spoiler]
Nothing wrong with that, right? WRONG!
Here is the correct version:
[spoiler][red]Cool![/red][/spoiler]
or this:
[red][spoiler]Cool![/red][/spoiler][/red]
Why does that matter, you ask?
Well, the spoilers rely on a HTML element called 'DIV', or DIVision. The red/font tag, needs to have the same 'parent element' at the starting tag and the ending tag. If not, there is now a HTML error! The first tag can't find an ENDing tag, and therefore will either not work, or affect the whole page. Sometimes this effect carries on to a few elements after the erroneous tag, and that is the exact reason I needed to tell you this:
The spoilers can be broken, and also mess up the page, if you don't do this correctly. As I said earlier, I'll check other forum software and see what to do.
If users are found abusing such bugs, you could suffer consequences, and all your posts may be removed, as harsh as it sounds.
