I'm pretty sure she means that a lot of people blame irrational and rude behaviour on ADHD, even when they don't have it, not that it's not 'a real thing.'

Seriously, a lot of people are misdiagnosed, and all too often, it becomes a crutch for them; when all else fails, blame the condition I don't have. It's a get-out-of-jail-free card. Not saying that it's not an issue, but that it's not always the real problem.

That reminds me of a girl I know who's ADHD, Bipolar, and something else. Jfc, she's absolutely terrible. She was on meds for a month and she improved, but her grandparents were against them and took her off.. Yikes.
