Suicide. The paper is tilted to the left, showing dominance in the right hand, I can't trust the pen, because I've seen it placed the same way by lefties, and righties, but I never see a right handed person tilt their paper to the right, always to the left. Now to my favorite part, blood stain analysis. For a drawing, it's pretty detailed, and I applaud it. It shows the initial spatter patterns from the gun, which are relatively small, so the victim must have been close to the wall, and if it was a murder, the spatter would have been greater. Then, there was transfer pattern, most likely from the person hitting their head on the wall when they shot themself. The stool was most likely right underneath the papers, showing how close the victim was to the wall. Their left foot must have knocked it over as the body twisted to the right from the impact on the wall. The shoe obviously is a match to the right foot, and it also shows that the body twisted to the right as it fell. Now onto the victims gender. The cigarettes are Marlboro, and on average, men smoke more than women, and Marlboro advertised specifically towards men with the Marlboro man, so it's most likely that our victim is male. White men on average are 7 out of 10 suicides, men are 3 times more likely than women to die of suicide, and firearms account for almost 50% of suicides. (AFSP study in 2013, it's important to notice that that study is for America, and this person in the photo isn't in America. If I knew my light sockets better, I would be able to locate where said man is in the world, and a study for his region.) With knowing the gender, you can look at the line down his neck, and not ride it off as hair. If it was murder, the victim would most likely look at the murderer, and the shot would be at his forehead, but the turning of the body, and the transfer stains wouldn't make any sense, not to mention that the train of blood wouldn't even be there. But if he shot himself, and everything else plays out as I said before, any blood from the wound would start to trail. If you lay your head down in that position, you will notice your muscles make a nice pathway for blood to pool at your collar bone, like in the picture. Meaning the wound would have to be on the right temple. This was long, but I had a fun time.
