Leviathan (2016-02-18 01:10:07)^That is a given with pretty much everything. But to actually make the game, all you need to know how to do is click. Unless you want to do all the art yourself, which of course requires art talent. But to make the game itself, it's literally just clicking.
Assuming you have the art, music, idea, and story already made, and your job is to make the game itself, with n prior game development experience.
Unity: Spend three days learning to use mono, a day learning to use VS:C, three months learning how to code C#, a month learning to use C# in conjunction with Unity and Mono namespaces along with the Unity IDE interface, a month debugging the game.
Estimated game completion: 9 months-2 years
Game maker: Drag some charactars there, drag a scene here, click some things, click some more things, point, then click, then debug, then done.
Estimated game completion: 3 months-1 year(1 year if it's a really really complex game.)
