I remember asking my mom in the car one day and she told me the guy has a seed inside him and the seed goes to the woman who has an egg and a baby is made, but learned the truth from my 7th grade science textbook.

After finding out the seed was actually called a sperm, I was ticked my mom lied to me, but I think its cause she didn't wanna scare me, but after really learning it, I thought it was kinda cool. Science has always been cool to me for some strange reason...

Seed is slang for semen. Not really something you hear in the streets, not that type of slang. Sort of like the word climax. Unless your mother also mentioned some sort of tree, she wasn't lying.
