Zimmerman really shouldn't have approached the kid, but I do believe he acted in self defense

No, it wasn't right for Zimmerman to shoot that kid, nor was it right to even approach him. However if Trayvon never threw a punch, I doubt any of this would have happened.
As I said before; if Zimmerman wanted to shoot Trayvon for no reason, he would have without giving that kid the chance to fight back.
