Actually, Ron, during the 2009 production of the Wii, Nintendo got a rediculous idea of actually removing the Gamecube compatibility.

Here's my idea:

angelrulez7, how is that ridiculous? By 2009, The demands for getting a GameCube game was low, so instead of Nintendo wasting their money, they took the capability of playing GameCube games. Same thing happened to the DS to DSi, GBA games were removed to consume money.
